Simon and I are so looking forward to the Christmas festivities at the Moulin, we have already put together the Christmas Menu and in a few days we will order the goose from a local goose farmer, who will prepare it for us the weekend before Christmas.
This is the goose which we did last Christmas, it was our first Christmas goose – wonderful!! So much juicier and tastier than turkey.
So the menu this year will be:
Glass of champs, just to get the mood right. Followed by a Mushroom Consommé. Then a Terrain de Foie Gras served with caramelised onion & fig preserve plus a glass of Monbazillac. THEN the Roast Goose with chestnut stuffing & roasted winter veg plus a glass of red. Assorted Cheese with fruit preserve & a wee glass of chilled white. Finally Spiced Pears in red wine served with a dessert wine.
All served in the candle lit apartment, just for two!!
